I just attempted what you said using Hello as a Sample word and it did not work for me in Global Chat...perhaps you can better describe the process? I am unable to reproduce it using it with and without spaces>

I can confirm it worked 24 hours ago, now it doesn't, so that got fixed on the quick, with the update that came in today at some point.
