    Seven Years War RP Redux

    Right so take two..
Lets hope this one gets enough players to start this time

    An alternate history 1830 RP.

The primary point of divergence is found in the seven years war where France and Austria achieved victory, and then in the later Austrian Revolution and "Vécseyic" (Austrian Napoleon) wars. Further details on the setting/scenario, the game rules and so called "features" can be found on the various tabs at the linked spreadsheet below.

You do not have to know every section and detail off by heart. Much of the revanchism/limits section solely exists to allow others to know how I get any numbers I say you have. You also don't need to remember much about vassals if you aren't one or don't have one.

The story was more made for the map to try and justify the many extensive changes which can be noticed, rather than to be completely possible and realistic, so some aspects may be considered implausible by some.

If that is not reason enough for you, magical alien space bats from another dimension decided to make something happen and that is how the implausible happened...

DIFFERENT FROM LAST TIME: for an application what I would like is just a sample article which is based in this alternate time line and of the correct time period (it does not need to be for the country you picked and wish to play as. If you wrote a sample for the previous game, feel free to use that one but please do brush up on the alt history if you consider yourself rusty). To be clear, I know most people who are applying to this RP know how to RP. I don't need a sample article to know you can RP. I do want a sample article to know you have at least a general understanding of the alternate history lore and what is different to the OTL.

You can add to the already stated history of the country you wish to play as in anyway you wish provided it does not disrupt the already stated history of the RP, it at least *somewhat* makes sense and results in the map as it is now; for any history you wish to add that involves another player country, you consult with them first and get an OK from them. Some countries have more stated changed history than others. If you want to adjust something that has been stated already, and it doesn't clash too badly with the map or the general history of the world, feel free to ask if it can be changed.
Do try and keep any changes to your country's history to being during and *after* the Seven Years War conflict which is acting as the primary and first major point of divergence.

All applications from the previous game are null in regards to country selection (mostly due to it being more than a year since I originally posted the thread). You can freely use/link the same sample article if you wish, but you must post/link the sample article in your application in this thread.

Whilst the first to choose a country to play will generally get much higher priority in most cases, I will also take into account the content of sample posts (Eg, a visibly and much more noticeably better/detailed sample, 1 paragraph vs 10 paragraphs, a straightforward article vs one with plotholes and repeats etc), those who have a known tendency to remain active and not silently abandon the game, as well as to some extent skill/rank/competence in game mechanics.

I would prefer someone with familiarity on the game mechanics of S1914 to be playing the Great powers and some of the more important Secondary powers, though this is more familiarity/competence and not necessarily being a ranked 1000 player. If you wish to pick Britain for example, it would be hoped you legitimately feel confident in being able to compete in an even fight/war with an average player, and being able to maintain a balance of a competitive economy and military.

If you think you really know what you're doing and consider yourself experienced, please try and pick one of the more "relevant" and capable countries to allow for the newer or less experienced players to have more options.

I won’t outright boot anyone entirely for these reasons, though I may recommend another country if I feel someone else may take this game significantly further with the country you selected.

If you are regarded by myself, or a number of other players (who can provide examples of such) to be a considerably poor RPer/troll/non RPing warmonger/landgrabber, etc, I reserve the right to entirely reject an application. I want a quality RP game, not a **** fest.

If you would like to question, or clarify anything, feel free to ask. I am also very open to questions and recommendations any may have with regards to all these rules.

Third time's the charm to finally get this started hey?

    Here's my sample for Peru-Bolivia:

[Legend: General Agustín Gamarra Messia proclaiming the birth of the Peruvian-Bolivian Confederation, 1830].

    La Confederación Perú-Boliviana

"The Confederation arose as permanent solution for the chaos that reigned in both Peru and Bolivia during the 1820's.

In 1825, after defeating the remnants of the Spanish Empire, the Bolivian Republic was formed in honor of the hero that liberated the territory, Simon Bolívar. However, for historical, and mostly geographical reasons, the new republic was always closer to Peru than it was to Buenos Aires (Argentina), which was it's main administrative capital since colonial times under the ViceRoyalty of the Río de La Plata.

This closeness of ties made Peru pressure the newly created Bolivan Republic into a federation, or at least a confederation, when the latter was facing internal turmoil. A failed coup in 1826 gave Peru the perfect excuse to try and unite both nations and to expel the Colombian forces from the region, as well as creating a new constitution for Bolivia.

With that in mind, the Peruvian Army entered Bolivia in 1828, forcing President António Sucre to resign, replacing him with a more pro-union President, Marhsal Andres de Santa Cruz. Naturally this didn't go well with Gran-Colombia, who had it's own plans for Bolivia, and when word came that a new President favored a Conferedation with Peru, former President Bolívar declared war on Peru and António Sucre was appointed as the commander of the Gran-Colombian Forces.

However, Bolívar was eventually murdered in 1830, the Colombians were defeated, and the war came to an end with a decisive Peruvian victory. This victory brought the much needed conditions to proceed into an unification of both nations; there is still much to be done, however, as there is no official government and this new nation is currently held together by a Military Junta under General Agustín Gamarra Messia, who will start to plan out the outlines for the new nation under the title of Supreme Protector of Peru and Bolivia.

Internal opposition and turmoil are still an issue, and despite the official peace negotiations with Gran-Colombia ending in a peaceful resolve they still left a bitter taste in both nations. Only time and patience may (or may not) resolve this rivalry.

Many are also weary of Argentina, and while it didn't participate in the conflict directly, there is still many who believe this nation could be another potential rival who might threaten the new union, and for the moment, diplomacy will be handled with suspicion and mostly caution.

As for other South American and European nations, these will also keep Peru-Bolivian on high alert, with both seen as possible expansionists, who might also threaten national security and seek to grow at the expense of a war thorn country.

But for now the next step is to build the new nation from the ground up, and ensure it's survival".

Sample for Portugal, hope it shall suffice.

A brief history of recent events and notable affairs in the Kingdom of Portugal: The seven years war.During the early events leading up to the outbreak of the conflict, or series of conflicts collectively known as the seven years war; it was despite considerable overtures from the Kingdoms longest standing ally of Great Britain that King Joseph I, upon the realization of the state of neglect the military had been subjugated to under the influence of the Marques de Pombal.

Was forced to conclude that his Nation was in no position or condition to become involved in warfare between the titans of Europe, and thus made the decision to keep Portugal in a state militarily if not commercially neutral. Adopting policies that favored the mercantile interests of Britain and hindered France wherever possible. During these early stages of events, it was also due to his realization of the state of the military that the King decided to head the words of his eldest daughter, Maria.

A long time critic and arch-rival of the Marques, on the advice of whom Joseph put into action a crack down on the more rampantly detrimental policies of the Marques before removing his former ally from power all together. Something which caused significant upheaval amongst the members of the aristocracy, but was ultimately balanced by the goodwill of the Church and its devout among the larger populace. No longer faced with the authority of the Marques who had at times led a campaign against the authority of the Catholic Church.

Following these events the King would spend the next few years attempting with mixed success to restore the power lost to followers of the Marques back into the hands of the Monarchy, such as overseeing the breaking up of the Pombalist monopolies over trade between the mainland and Brazil. As well as diverting the proper funds aimed at bringing the military back up to its full pre-Pombal levels of strength. Still, not all was to be a good news for Portugal as the forces of Britain and her allies continued to be pushed back and/or defeated on an increasingly large scale.

Finally, as an absolute victory appeared to be approaching for France.

Wanting to cut off any remaining support for the British war effort as quickly as possible, an ultimatum was presented to the Royal government from the combined forces of Spain and France: Portugal would either cease its commercial support for Britain or face invasion. Divided on how to proceed over the matter, the government turned to the King on how best to respond. Unwilling to subject either himself or the Kingdom to the humiliation of capitulation, The chosen response was a very resounding refusal to these demands.

Of which the French and Spanish counter-response was a very resounding declaration of war, officially bringing Portugal into the armed conflicts of the seven years war as an invasion force was being assembled in the forms of an army across the border and a Spanish battle fleet at sea. Now facing a near desperate situation, and little if no British assistance. King Joseph decided to personally take command of the Royal army alongside his officers in the defense of the homeland, he would either have victory over the invaders or face his own death for the refusal of French demands.

Raising a total of 30.000 troops to stand in the Royal army to face off over a little over 40.000 French and Spanish troops, it was quickly realized by the King and his generals that a great strategic advantage would be needed to ultimately pull of a victory over the advancing enemy. Meanwhile at sea, the situation stood much the same as on-land. A the Royal navy faced off against a larger Spanish fleet.

Ultimately deciding to make a stand amongst the many outdated fortifications of the southern provinces, the Royal army quickly found its own efforts in opposing the invaders bolstered by the local civilian. Whom took to burning down their villages, farms as they fled before the advancing foe, greatly hindering them for lack of any sustainable food stuffs to enhance their own rapidly dwindling supplies.

Ultimately, between the conditions and armed opposition presented before them, the combined Franco-Spanish army would find it would be forced to withdraw due to attrition. Running low on supplies while the Portuguese forces focused on cutting off supply lines and defeating small reinforcement armies. In total their losses would equal around 15.000. While Portuguese losses where in the range of about 8.000.

At sea Portugal found far less success, ultimately forced to make sail to ports in Brazil to avoid destruction in the face of over whelming Spanish naval power. Leaving Spain to blockade many of the British friendly ports of the Portuguese coasts that was the ultimate war goal of the invasion. And while a second larger and more well equipped force was in the process of being put together to pursue an overwhelming and complete victory over the Royal army, it would never get the chance to do so as a peace conference would be held between the powers of Europe shortly before the 2nd invasion was about to commence.

And while during these talks Britain was inevitable forced to concede much for her defeat, Portugal managed to find terms for peace quite light in comparison. Only forced to pay a fairly large war indemnity and defer to France in matters of international trade while being allowed to maintain the alliance with Britain.

(Sample for Italy, hope it meets expectations)

The King of Sardinia, Charles Robert, marches with citizens from all over the Italian peninsula into battle against the Austrians lead by Marshal Radetzki . Unknown to all the belligerents at the time, the first and only battle of the war, the Battle of Pasentro, would determine whether or not a Kingdom of Italy would be created. The peninsula consisted of the Kingdom of Two Sicilies, the Papal States, and the Kingdom of Sardinia. However, citizens from all over the peninsula had called for independence, and the Austro-Hungarians were ready to respond in force. The different leaders of the peninsula decided to unite under one banner, and one name, as the civilians requested. They would control their regions as governors shall the war be won, the Pope secure in the Vatican, and a new King would be selected. But for now, with the combined strength of all the citizens of the peninsula under one banner, they stand a chance against the Austrians. Both sides have everything in just this one battle. But first, the armies must position themselves.

After the declaration of war, King Charles took the Carabinieri (militia) into the Austrian province of Lombardy. With his overwhelming numbers he was able to push the Austrians further and further, taking control of most of the Lombardy province without major battle. While pushing, the Carabinieri were able to get control of the Goito and Monzambano bridges. Goito was where the first shots of the war were fired, however it isn’t labeled as a battle but more a skirmish. Austrian engineers were tasked with destroying the bridge, but were only able to partially disable it. After the skirmish, the bridge was fully functional within 3 hours from repairs made by Italian engineers. The Carabinieri then continued their push further into Lombardy.

Finally, Radetzki decided to stop running and set up defenses at Pastrengo, on the border of Lombardy and Veneto. It was here that the 6,000 Austro-Hungarian soldiers started building well entrenched posts, and where the first, and last battle of the war would be fought. King Charles got wind of the enemy preparing defenses and so he sent scouts to get a preview of the battle soon to come. Although he had more than double the men, they were less experienced, and on the offensive.

These scouts would find the well entrenched enemy in Pastrengo, but also see a great opportunity. There is only 1 main road behind Pastrengo which leads to Trento, which leads straight to the next province of Veneto, famous for being the home of the Venetians. This land is a rich part of the Austro-Hungarian empire and would take a toll on it if it was lost. But in order to attack Veneto, the Italians must take Lombardy. Cutting off the Hungarians would push for their eventual surrender, holding the general in charge as a POW and as a bargaining tool. With this information, the scouts returned to King Charles and told him the news.

Knowing the situation of the enemy, King Charles sent a letter to Rome to express his plans to reach Veneto as the Pope held the most power in the peninsula. He then brought the General of the Carabinieri, Alessandro Ferrero La Marmora, into his tent to discuss a plan of attack. The General came up with the idea of splitting the army into 2 groups. One that attacks head on, and one that circles around to prevent the Austro-Hungarians from retreating on the main road. This main army would be called the Bersaglieri, and would undergo more training than the usual Carabinieri soldier to ensure they can match with the enemy. To pay respect to their general, and distinguish themselves from the Carabinieri, the soldiers of the Bersaglieri all put black feathers into their hats as the General was known as the one with the “Feathered Hat” from his previous military experiences.

When the day finally came for the attack, King Charles was awoken to a messenger bringing news from the Pope. Eagerly the King jumped from bed and opened the letter. It contained an address that the Pope had delivered to the people of Italy. It said, “I still lead the Papal States while this war is ongoing, and have had a change in heart. The change of position is because of the fact that we are fighting a major Catholic power, and it would be a major sin for us to kill each other as such. I demand that my men return to Rome as soon as possible”

The King crumbled the message and threw it to the ground with a scream. “How can he do this now! We are THIS close to fighting and he wishes to surrender!? This is an outrage!”

General Marmora steps up to speak and says, “ I think it would be best to ask the men what they think, being that they are here and the Pope is not”

With a sigh, the King nods his head, straightens his uniform and walks outside to talk to the Papal men specifically.

General Marmora then orders the Papal men to form up outside the Kings tent to hear what the King has to say. They were apart of the Carabinieri for battle.

“I have just received a letter from the Pope in Rome. He has demanded that you return to Rome and not fight in this war. His reasoning is that us Catholics should not be killing other Catholics. Although I have my feelings about this, I am obligated to honor the Popes word as he still controls the Papal States. However, we are here and he is not. I leave you men with two options. Back down now and return to Rome, or go on with the battle and return home afterwards. I will say I got the letter after the battle, and we go from there. If you wish to fight, step up. If not, stay still.

All the men without hesitation marched one step forward with no expression on their faces. The King smiled at the men and began to speak once more. “Then let’s win this battle today”

Not long after the speech, the Carabinieri and Bersaglieri started marching into battle with their orders known to them. The Carabinieri, 6500, went ahead to get in position on the main road behind the Austro-Hungarian position, and the Bersaglieri, also 6500, started marching not long after. By the time the Bersaglieri got sight of Pastrengo, the Carabinieri were in position.

The Austro-Hungarians waited until the Bersaglieri were in the open to fire. Leading the Bersaglieri was General Marmora. He stayed back behind cover, watching his men get cut down just in front of him. Pressured, he then took out his sword and started to march with his men. This gave the men a bit more morale to advance, however after the second barrage of fire, the General was struck by multiple rounds, causing him to be seriously wounded. All his men had seen him get cut down and were immediately outraged. This made the men charge into the enemy with blood in their eyes and their hands clenched tight on their guns. The Austro-Hungarians fired a third volley, but the Bersaglieri didn’t stop, and soon the fight broke into hand to hand combat. Soldiers fired their rifles, used their bayonets, and even their bare hands in this close quarter combat. It wasn’t long before Marshal Radetzki saw what was happening and ordered a retreat. The horn for retreat was sounded, and the Austro-Hungarians started to flee the battle towards the main road behind them.

The Marshal was first to retreat, and so he was the first to see the lines of Carabinieri waiting for him. They were being lead by King Charles himself, and he ordered them to aim their rifles towards the enemy. As the Marshals soldiers showed up, he ordered them all to immediately surrender or they would be cut down. As more of them showed up, they copied what they saw their comrades doing, throwing their hands up in surrender. The Bersaglieri had chased the enemy, and when they saw them surrendering they also aimed their rifles into what remained of the Austro-Hungarian force.

King Charles and a Austrian speaking Carabinieri walked toward the Marshal. Radetkzi simply asked what are your terms. Charles whispered to the translator, who replied to Radetkzi “Leave this land and tell your Archduke to recognize Italy as independent. All he could do was agree to the terms. As he left the battlefield with his men, the now Italians cheered and threw their hats into the air. They were already of talking about the parades the people would throw back in Rome. The King however had to prepare for another battle. One with the Pope.

It wasn’t long until the news reached the King that the Archduke had agreed to the his demands recognizing Italy, and so he and the men headed back for Rome. As King Charles and the recovering General Marmora and his men marched in Rome, the King could only hold a fake smile. His only thought was the conflict with the Pope. The people cheered in the streets waving the new flag of Italy, and the soldiers were loving every minute of it. As the army finished the parade, King Charles returned to The Vatican to talk with the pope.

He walking in with the Swiss Guard next to him as he met both the Pope and the King of Two Sicilies, King Ferdinand II. Not expecting him, the King was starting to worry more about what was about to happen. The Pope signals the guard to leave and he takes the two kings to a nearby room.

The Pope has the two Kings sit down and the Pope sits down in front of them. “I thought you received my letter King Charles”

Charles replied, “I did your holiness, but not until after the battle was won”

King Ferdinand II chuckled and shook his head. The Pope however started King Charles down. He knew that Charles received the letter before the battle, but he knew he couldn’t prove it. So he just started to speak again.

“Well what’s done is done. Although I suspect some lies and deceit in your voice, I will remain peacful during this time. Now is the time to celebrate. But the question remains, who will lead this new Kingdom. None of us will as we agreed, and I shall remain Pope here in the Vatican.”

King Ferdinand II starts to speak for the first time. “I say we have Victor Emmanuel II lead the Kingdom. He has ties to both me and Charles, and has shown leadership qualities in Sardinia while Charles was in the war”

Both the Pope and Charles nodded and without another word, they parted ways. The Pope would be in charge of making the news of the new King to the people, while Charles and Ferdinand would go and tell Emmanuel the news.

Upon hearing the news, Victor Emmanuel II went with Charles and Ferdinand II to the Vatican to be crowned King by the Pope. Emmanuel was a shy man, but nevertheless eager to address his people of his Kingdom.

“I have been bestowed upon me a great responsibility. I now lead you, the people of Italy!”

The King throws his hands in the air and the crowd then cheers loudly. Emmanuel then lowers his hands to continue speaking.

“There are a lot of options in front of me right now, and i’m glad to say that governor Charles and Ferdinand II are here to help me with anything and everything I need. From this day forward, I will not rest until I make this Kingdom better than when it started. I take that to my grave.”

The crowd again cheers as Emmanuel waves to the people and he gives one last statement.

“The Kingdom of Italy is now a power in Europe, and we will show them, the world even, what is means to be Italian”

He gives one last wave as he goes back into the Quirinal Palace. He shuts the doors to the balcony and looks to Charles and Ferdinand and says, “what now?”

Charles steps up and says, “Now, it’s time to go to work.”

Balkan Union please, hope the content is adequate:

The Japanese triumphs in the Far East has many in London concerned, especially the inner circles of British Queen, albeit having a good trade partnership with Japan, The Balkan Union, were unwilling to see the Japanese mount such big expansion into China, another important Balkan trade partner in Asia. Rightly, the The Union's Premier has addressed all Balkans citizens in China and Japan to be vigilant, and not to spill any misunderstandings. Balkan Consulate in Dejima also in cautious mode, while in Shanghai, many staffs relocated deep into Chinese inland, particularly to Xining where the new capital were designated by China after turbulent war. Following this war Minister of External Affairs Miloslav Kristij urged resolution to the war, as casualties mounted high on both sides, but he, like other Balkans, expected the Japanese Imperialism to continue it's expansion via Korean Peninsular, and it doesn't look like it going to slow down any minute. Manchurian War going bloody.

''While World has took a neutral steps, we have acknowledged the needs for our nationalities in East Asia to undertake huge pre-caution with Japanese marches going on, the The Balkan Union, although situated in Europe and have little voice in Asia, also urge peaceful resolution to this bloody war, but we respect the parties in the war that poses right in continuation of it.'' Minister of External Affairs, Kristij said in the morning brief to the gathering press.

Following the statement, Balkan Union on high alert with many trade ships sailing to Kingdom of Hawaii to be careful of being mistaken as Chinese ships, due to high curfew around Japanese-controlled islets.

    ----:Coup in Hawaii, British Culprit?:----

Meanwhile in Hawaii, several Britons staged a largely known as 'Solidarity Uprising' in attempt to overthrow the Kamehameha dynasty, although Britain and Hawaii had good relationship, this moves by the English masquarading as Hawaiians might have following repercussions between the two. The information regarding the coup is unknown but many have pointed at the disloyal officers within the Hawaiian Royal Army, which all had hired British officers and advisers from the era of Boat War. The Hawaiian Minister of Interior Kamalan Lorris is said to be main culprit behind the coup movement, rallying Whites and Pro-British factions in the Ministry and People to dethrone the King and declare the nation as 'Protectorate' with 'British guidance'. It is unknown what intentions he have but all now linked to English Queen, as evidences pointed to the creeping colonization of the Pacific.

''The Queen once hired Lorris to be one of many advisers for Anglo-Hawaiin relationship back in 1880s, Queen has kept close with Lorris to advise him how to deal with the Mexican menace and also French in Guyana. However, after the British Prime Minister own downfall in 1883, Lorris and his advocates moved back to Hawaii and worked together in down-low of political world, Lorris moved to Hawaii after receiving offer from King Liliʻuokalani, who also hired British Suprintendant Charles Burnett Wilson and Canadian strategist Samuel Newlein, but for those who had clear motive to expanding Britain is no other than The Queen.'' Isakov Tujman, Zagreb University.

Honolulu Rifles were also speculated to be behind the coup, as they were seen by locals near the Royal Palace. The Honolulu Rifles is part of Committee of Safety, the Committee of Safety originated from a leadership group when members of the Missionary Party of Puritanians, began to run as Independent Party candidates. For the elections of 1884 the Missionary Party strictly ran all candidates as Independent Party candidates. To ensure that Missionaries were on the Independent ticket the “Committee of Nine” was formed April 16, 1883, to assume the leadership position of the Independent Party. The Committee of Nine were staunchly loyal to the Missionary Party, having social and economic philosophies that reflected the Missionary values. The Independent Party won 13 seats and was the minority party in the Hawaii legislature. For the following elections of 1886 the committee reconvened, this time calling themselves the “Committee of Thirteen” due to the change in members. Their intent was to make the Independent Party the majority party in the legislature. At the end of the elections the Independents won ten seats, a net loss of three seats. They're staunchly Pro-Tory, and also having ties with Puritanians in Thirteen Colonies.

King Liliuokalani ordered the Royal Police and soldiers loyal to the Kingdom to fend off the intruders, the outcome of this may decide the fate of Hawaii. For Balkan Union, this was a warning sign for all.

Minister of External Affairs have no comment on the current crisis in Hawaii.

Sample for the Spanish Empire, let me know if it's too short or something, can add and post another if need be.

(King Ferdinand VII died 3 years earlier than our time line, plunging the Spanish Empire into Civil War)
    ‘Plus Ultra’

The room was white, and a pretty nurse was just checking on the dying King Ferdinand. He had attained a fever and his temperature was steadily rising. The pretty nurse, Sofia, bowed to her king, gently placing a moist towel upon his forehead wiping away the sweat. A light breeze blew in through the open stained-glass windows, forcing the curtains to rise and gently come down with the ebb and flow. In his delirium, King Ferdinand saw the face of his mother on the nurse; he slowly reached out placing his hand delicately on her face. The nurse was frozen in horror. Never had a peer of nobility, let alone a king, touched her. As she stood in shock and disbelief, the opening of the door leading to the room opening, startling her out of the reverie. She quickly turned her head, with King Ferdinand’s hand falling back down to his bed.
“Oh! Your Majesty, I’m so glad you have come, I have ne-“
“Quiet, girl, I must speak with my husband.” Queen Maria Christina’s shrill voice cut into the nurse’s head.
“Yes, your majesty.” Promptly bowing, she quickly made her way out of the room.

“My husband, the one for whom I have the most love for, I bid you please, please sign this document.”
    “Document?” The King was dazed.
“Your people, even your own brother conspires against you. You must sign this. Make the view of succession an afterthought. They would not dare go against your words, my dear.” King Ferdinand slowly closed his eyes, then, even slower, he opened them again.
“What does it say?” In a rare moment of clarity, the king was intrigued.
“You must abolish this notion of Salic Law. It currently forbids your only daughter from rising to the throne legally. Please, my husband, please.”

Down the hall there was a cry from Sofia.
“Infante, please, King Ferdinand must rest!”
“He is my brother, and I will see him. I will not let that harpy poison his mind.” The gruff younger brother to the king, dressed in his immaculate armour was flanked by three more men. Swords hung by their sides and a small dagger was concealed in the Prince’s boot. He rounded the corner and pushed open the doors to the room his brother lay in.
“Out, harpy, leave. I will not have you whisper in my brother’s anymore.”
    “Carlos, leave. Ferdinand needs rest.”
“I’m not leaving, Perra italiana. You will not have your way. I know what you’ve come to do. Tell lies of conspiracy to convince my brother, who is on his deathbed, to destroy the Spanish Empire. No. I will not have it. You will leave. Leave now.” Prince Carlos had drawn his sword, placing the tip in the air mere inches away from the Queen’s neck. “Take your child and go. She will never be queen.” Maria Christina thought for a moment but thought better than to act. She solemnly nodded, placed a kiss on King Ferdinand’s cheek and left the room. A moment of silence fell over the room. Prince Carlos sighed. “I’m sorry brother, truly.” He motioned with his hand, and one of his guards placed a pillow over the King’s face, he struggled but soon was still. The men gathered in the room nodded to one another, and left without saying another word.

The King is dead. Long live the King.

    Antarktika

    ладонь богов, 1953

An endless snowstorm rages over the barren antarctic landscape. It, along with the already dim night, reduces visibility for miles. An illuminated monolithic steel structure spreads upon the landscape. It is concealed for the most part, with the majority of the structure running deep below the ground.

At the very bottom of the labyrinth-like complex located far underground, is a dark conference room. In the middle of the room is a large round mahogany table, where 32 formally dressed occupants sit. One of them is former High Chancellor of Eurasia Alexei Vasilev, fittingly seated at the "head" of the table.

He begins a short speech, that would only be heard by the members of said table-

    "Three decades ago.

Three decades ago, Eurasia collapsed into utter chaos, devoid of hegemony. Nevertheless, we endured. Like a lotus flower sprouting from water, our greatest accomplishment was achieved where it was least expected. In a matter of two years, we discovered something that would change mankind forever. The Omnipotent. Beings whom are so advanced it is impossible to grasp their true nature. I will make an attempt to elaborate, of course. Imagine our own race continued to expand out from Earth into our solar system. At most, we've landed on the Earth's moon, but lets say mankind's dominion extended all the way to the debris cloud which marks our solar system's outermost reaches. Now, what if said dominion continued to grow until it touched Proxima Centauri, the closest star to the sun. At this rate, our hypothetical human empire would inevitably conquer the entire milky way, before enveloping the magellan cloud and other neighboring galaxies.

Now, we must ask ourselves, what is the true limit that this civilization could expand? The Omnipotent have shown us what it would be- The answer is none. The human dominion would eventually control the entire known universe, before stepping out into the "multiverse," made aware to us by Einsteins General Theory of Relativity. We can go even farther, however. At Its greatest extend, the Human Empire would live out of space and time, possessing the power to fabricate whole multiverses, as well as being able to annihilate them in an instant. That, is what the Omnipotent are. Beings that control space and time, the realms from which space and time makes up, and everything within said realms. The Omnipotent are everywhere, at every moment, ever. Every civilization that has existed and will ever exist, regardless of realm, will at some point fall under their endless reign. A concept so difficult to grasp, they cannot truly be understood by us.

So, have we discovered them, or have they discovered us?"
    Who wouldn't?

So, is this RP possible to see the light of the day?

I would actually like to join as a very minor power (my activity is not that well lately, but this does seem like a nice RP) do you have minors that wont need to much of a worry to play?

Questions about the game? Have a look at the manual.
Need game support? Send a ticket or contact the crew.
Have an idea for the game? Check the BigList.

For the most part nothing is currently set up to exist as an "irrelevant" minor. The closest to it would likely be one of the South American nations or one of the colonies of a country.

Potentially if you're going to remain active, even if it becomes a highly irregular login once a day you could take the Swiss and act as the neutral "world bank" if you would potentially prefer that instead. All it'd involve is taking money and resources from people wanting to do stuff and doing essentially whatever you want with it all
