Add in historical maps that follow historical maps, but on a global scale and (suggestion) everyone gets to keep their colonies according to history. For example, (most of) Africa would belong to European powers, Britain will have India, Netherlands will get Indonesia (so they become playable, but not overly weak), and America has the Philippines.. Would love to see global empires wage war on one another on this scale!
