This is a rather delicate topic, as you can imagine. Stats are important. We don't want to risk losing anything and do this properly. This means this will not only be a general bug fix, but a change in how the stats are handled compared to the past to make the stats update more reliable. This is why it takes so long.
We thought we were almost done, only to find some issues during the last test before the release, which put the topic back into development. This is a high-priority issue on our end, and the team is working for quite some time on this.

Attention Generals!
In this update, we implemented several balancing changes that are based on your discord feedback. This time we concentrated on hit chances. The one for Fortresses was increased and the ones for Workshops and Recruiting offices were reduced. At the same time, we reverted the scouting feature of balloons from the last update and lowered the concealing threshold for Fortresses.
In addition to that, we made several adjustments to alliances and maps. The Middle East map is now available to players with a minimum rank of 3 instead of 10, so it is now more players can join. We also fixed a bug with alliance ranking that confused you about which alliance has a growing or a shrinking trend.
Finally, we added more sorting options for the provinces on mobile devices to make it easier for you to do province management and fixed search bugs that occurred with some languages.
For a complete overview of all changes, please check our detailed list of updates and share your feedback with us here on forum and our Discord server.
Best of luck General,

Attention, General!
Today's update removes the obsolete "Extra units" filter from the game filters, adds a recruitment timer to the Province Info panel, and implements reworked versions of the units, buildings, armies, and province details.
Several bugs have been fixed with this release as well. Naval units no longer use different icons and display one hit point as health when split off from a stack. Inactive coalition members no longer lower their relations with their coalition members.
These are just the highlights of today's release. For a complete overview of all changes, please check our detailed list of updates and share your feedback with us here on the forums and on our Discord server.

Can't get into legacy mode now.
It seems to work on our accounts. Can you check your account settings? At the bottom right you should see a button to allow joining in legacy. You might need to click that again. If that doesn't work. Please reach out to our support team from within the game, so we can check what is going on.

Attention, General!
Today’s update brings new improvements to the Home Screen interface. We decided to make it more user-friendly and provided you with the most valuable information and options right on the first screen.
A new feature was added to the maps: scorch marks are now displayed on the locations where ranged attacks occured. This will mark waged battles and display the damages to the territory
Last but not least we optimized game performance and addressed FPS drops when hovering over elements on the map.

Attention, General!
Supremacy 1914 is available in Japanese now!
Supremacy 1914 is now completely translated into Japanese. To change the language, click on the cogwheel in the top right on desktop, or check the Account setting in the "More" menu in the bottom right on the mobile app. Also, in light of the continuous influx of large amounts of new users and recent server problems, we've decided to reduce the amount of creatable maps per user per month. This should have a significant impact on server load and contribute to overall stability.
Those of you who don’t want to join alliances can now close the recurring pop-up and it will not show up again. Just click the newly added ‘don’t show again’ button.
And finally, apart from several bug fixes, we also decided to mute ambient sounds and background music in the main menu when playing on desktop

Attention, General!
Today’s update brings Army and Province Detail screens to Supremacy 1914 on desktop, deals with the usability and the time troops are moving on the map. This time we implemented additional information about your provinces and army with dedicated Details screens that can be opened by clicking on the name of an army or province in the Army or Province Bar at the bottom or your screen.
We also adjusted the Embarking time calculation after the province capture. From now on embarkings reflect the ownership status of a province right away and you will spend less time on them.
You will also not see the error message when adding an additional location to the moving path of a unit anymore.
Last but not least you will now be able to see the ‘Sort by Building’ button, so that you can easily add the filter to the buildings in your province.
For a complete overview of this update, please check our detailed Release Notes and share your feedback with us here on the forums and our Discord server.

Attention, Generals!
From now on Supremacy 1914 is available in Czech.
Supremacy 1914 is now completely translated into Czech. To change the language to this new option or any other of the available languages, click on the cogwheel in the top right on desktop, or check the Account setting in the "More" menu in the bottom right on the mobile app.
We also changed the default sorting order of pinned provinces, to make it more user friendly. By clicking the "pin" icon on the left of a province in the province overview, you can pin provinces that are of high interest to you.
As you are most likely interested in finding these provinces right away, these provinces are now listed on top of the overview by default, instead of at the bottom. Should you wish to have the pinned provinces listed at the bottom though, you can still do that, by clicking on the column header to change the order.
Among the bugs that were fixed today are the missing "Add Target" button in the army bar of several units, a rounding error when displaying certain numbers in several languages, and several issues where too many icons were displayed, or icons were missing.
For a complete overview of all changes, please check our detailed Release Notes. Please do not hesitate to share your feedback here on the forums and our Discord server.
Best of luck on the battlefield!

Attention, Generals!
Today's update brings a big change to planes in Supremacy 1914. We released a new airplane mechanic that changes many aspects of air combat. Damage during attacks and patrols is now dealt both ways, and targets can be adjusted within certain limitations without the need of flying back to an airbase. All patrols now attack air and ground units that are within their patrol circle. This happens every 15 minutes now, instead of 60 minutes prior to this change. These attacks deal 25% of the unit's damage both ways. The new mechanic makes planes in Supremacy much more flexible and a much bigger threat on the battlefield.
To counterbalance the enemy in the sky, the statistics of other units have been adjusted, shaping some of them into a dedicated anti-air role. Please check our detailed Release Notes for a complete overview of all the changes with the new airplane mechanic, additional updates and bug fixes that were implemented with today's release.
Please share your feedback here on the forums or on our Discord.

Attention, General!
Today's update brings some quality-of-life improvements for mobile Generals.
As the Daily European provides valuable information for you, we improved the visibility of the newspaper in the Supremacy 1914 app and merged it with the Front Reports. This makes it easier for players using the app to quickly access it and gather the information it provides.
Additionally, we added some tooltips in the app to provide more helpful information about certain aspects of the "About Player" overview.
We also fixed some bugs across all platforms. Should you have noticed that some of your planes while in convoy on the road or at sea received a suspiciously high amount of damage from enemy planes patrolling the area, be assured that is a thing of the past now!
Notably we also fixed a bug that caused planes controlled by AI to teleport to their target almost instantly without any notable travel time when moving towards their target.
For a complete overview please check our detailed Release Notes and share your feedback with us on the forums and on Discord.
We wish you best of luck on the battlefield!

- A bug was fixed that caused the province border graphics to be displayed in wrong locations on some maps.
- An issue on mobile devices was resolved that opened the shop in the background when a player tried to set the fire control of a unit without High Command membership.

Attention, Generals!
Today’s update will see the implementation of new shaders, which will increase the overall performance, especially on 500 player maps. It is also time to say a final goodbye to a relic of the past in the form of the Legacy Client. As previously announced it is outdated and only used by a small fraction of players, outweighing the maintenance work it requires. Should you still have held onto Legacy until now, please share your thoughts on its advantages compared to the standard client so we can evaluate how to make improvements to it.
Last but not least, we start to test the new Gold Rewarded Ads feature on mobile devices which allows you to watch short video ads and receive free gold on a daily basis. This feature will be made available to Android and iOS users who’ve installed the latest app version in several phases. If you don’t see it immediately after updating the app, don’t panic. It will be available to all mobile players soon.
For a complete overview on today’s update and all its new features, balancing changes and bug fixes, please take a look at the list below.
New features:
- Players will now be able to receive free Gold as a reward for watching short ads in the game on Android and iOS devices. In order to gain access to this feature you will need to download the latest app version in the App- or Google Play Store.
- A “Free Gold” tab is now available in the shop on Android and iOS.
- An information icon on the right side of the screen informs you when “Free Gold” is available.
- A maximum of 5 ads will be available each day and the awarded amount of gold will increase with each ad, resetting once every 24 hours.
- The “Free Gold” rewarded ads will be rolled out to mobile players in several phases. Should you not gain immediate access to it after updating the app, don’t worry. They will be made available to all users soon.
- As this feature is still worked on, there might be additional options or changes to it in the future.
General:
- As announced in the previous release notes we will proceed with the removal of the Legacy Client and disable it for all users. In case you’re one of the few veteran players who still prefered the Legacy Client, we strongly encourage you to provide us with feedback regarding how the standard client can be improved in order to better align it with your preferences in this forum post. Player feedback is one of the main drivers for changes and helps us to adjust our vision for the game in order to continuously improve it. We also recommend you to switch to low graphics mode and deactivate the relations view mode as these settings will be closed to the look of the Legacy Client.
- New WebGL shaders will be implemented, replacing the old ones. This will result in slightly increased map performances across the board, which should be especially notable on large 100 and 500 player maps. For different graphic settings some displayed colours will also slightly change depending on the selected option.
Bug fixes:
- An issue was resolved that could cause some sections of a unit's movement line to turn invisible unless it was hovered over. The complete movement line of units is now visible again.
- Various small bugs have been fixed on multiple maps including spelling errors, adjustment of resource production in specific provinces and adjustments to road connections.
- A bug was fixed that caused an error message to be displayed when the page was refreshed while the Support Request Form was open.
- An issue was resolved that resulted in the positioning indicators for units to not be displayed properly at all times. Positioning dots are now always displayed for all units at the correct location on the map.
- A problem was resolved that caused the option to disable the display of individual unit types on the map to not work properly. Even if deselected, all unit types would still be displayed. The filters now work properly again and work as intended.
- A bug was fixed that prevented players from removing rally points once they’ve been set. While they could be moved, they could not be deleted.
- A bug was fixed that caused submarines to be displayed on top of certain units. Submarines are now always displayed below other units in case several units are present at the same location.
We hope you’ll notice the implementation of new shaders and test the rewarded ads feature in order to benefit from the Free Gold. We’re especially interested in your feedback for the content of today’s update in regards to the removal of Legacy and potential advantages it had compared to the standard client.

Hi there Hastings TNT.
We indeed re-organized the volunteer teams a bit, but that will not affect players. If you have any issue on the forums you can open a thread, use the report option in case you notice a violation of rules on the forums or can contact a moderator as listed in the staff roster.
If there are any issues in the game directly you can use the report option and send a support ticket there, as usual. The team will take care of it. That includes cases like the example you gave with gold refunds.
The CS Manager is not vacant but removed from the roster as the CS Manager doesn't handle forum issues. He would forward anything to the CMs or the Moderators, so removing him as a contact point on the list safes time of the user while waiting on a reply or action.

[S1914] Server Incident 2020-11-14
Attention, Generals!
Due to an unexpected incident on Saturday 2020-11-14 which prevented communication between servers for several hours, players were unable to enter their games. We would like to point out that this was an internal issue, and that there was no security risk at any point during the incident.Although Supremacy 1914 is a real-time grand strategy game where decisions and actions are taken a while in advance, we are fully aware that an outage of this magnitude is a severe inconvenience for our players. We are deeply sorry and would like to once more apologize for this.
To soften any potential harm this incident may have caused to your strategic plans for last weekend, we are adding 10,000 Gold to the account of any affected player.
The Gold has been added to your account by now.

Attention, Generals!
A good strategist knows that using the latest technology is key to victory and that maintaining outdated equipment can become a drawback for all of your troops. The same is true for supporting technology used to play Supremacy 1914.
Years ago, Supremacy 1914 received a complete visual makeover, designed for a new generation of technological equipment, and reflecting changed user expectations and Zeitgeist. Supremacy is dear to our hearts, which is why we decided back then to keep the old look and feel alive for players who had grown used to it as well as those who hadn’t the technical resources yet to experience the then new Supremacy 1914 as we envisioned it.
This decision meant that from that point on we needed to maintain both versions of the game, splitting our resources, well knowing that the efforts needed to maintain both would increase over time. We made this decision back then, and would do so again today.
We also knew that there would come a time when the efforts would no longer be feasible, and this day is approaching.
We monitored and analyzed how many Supremacy 1914 generals play the game in Legacy Mode the entire time. Looking at how much effort it is for the development team to make sure that the game and all of its current and future features are working as intended in Legacy Mode, we finally came to a conclusion and made the decision to discontinue the active support for Legacy Mode starting in October 2020. Until the end of the year, you will still be able to use it but any bugs exclusive to Legacy Mode won’t get fixed anymore. Also, new features will not be tested for compatibility with it.
The end of the year 2020 will then finally mark the end of life for Legacy Mode completely.
If you want to continue playing Supremacy 1914 without the increased risk of experiencing bugs and other inconveniences we recommend to switch to regular mode now.
We apologize for any inconvenience this might cause for some players, but we are convinced that the freed resources now can be used to fix bugs and develop content for all our players instead.
