Alliance Matches have started in Supremacy One?
the veterans front is still broken?
Veterans front now allows only team choice.
then shows a country choice with NO options.
ten minute time out.
saving on server load?
the tutorial allows all ranks, but flanders front is 30 or less?
Can no longer deal with the clunky unit icons.
Obscure the battle space, makes selecting units very difficult.
And in some cases, the enemy can 'hide' units under friendly banners!
Retiring from Sone.
Many of the changes related to not trading units or resources started on CoN, then migrated to CoW,
and now into SOne (I cannot speak to any changes in S1914 - haven't been there in years.)
Due to game rounds ending rather fast we adjusted the balancing so that the late game can be reached earlier.
slight error in terminology:
the OP meant to say:
"Due to game rounds lasting only 14 days in SOne" . . . . .
SOne has 100 player maps that last 50 days?
Too few live players, too many AI,
eventually ALL the live players would suffer the same fate.
perhaps the reason for the 2 week limit on the game duration.
Nothing to do with recent changes.
Elite AI have always ganged up on the least popular LIVE player.
You missed the point:
Flanders front is no longer the tutorial. The max. rank limit of 30 is
intended to prevent 'seniors' from farming new players on the tutorial.
The Elite AI continue to send units far afield, while at the same time losing
home provinces to other AI.Quote
The vet map has a minimum rank requirement, not a max.
Prior to this change the Euro 84 player map had neither a min. nor a max. limit.
The Euro 84 player map is now the tutorial, but there is no maximum rank limit.
The Flanders Front 20 player map still has the max. limit?
Morale on the Veterans Front
The negative factors for distance to the capital, neighbors and expansion seem too large.
Many provinces on the map start with falling morale, and since the day 1 value is only 50%,
it is almost impossible to recover. The distance to the capital penalty alone far outweighs
the positive benefit of a propaganda office.
Capturing just one enemy province gives a morale malus of -9 to every home province. That
would require 15,000 food, tools and metal and 50,000 cash to build offices to overcome the
I like the way resources are grouped to both research and produce units.
There are six types of resources, and five types of units, requiring 5 combinations of two resources each.
Two of the resources, food and tools, are only used once.
One way to balance this out would be to add a sixth category of units.
Recon Units would use food and tools to research and produce, and require infrastructure to build. The existing
Spies, scouts and balloons would fill this category, and perhaps some could suggest more types, for example, watchtowers.

Just reopened that game, and see the same problem.
Submitted a bug report, with screenshots.
Anti-Air is shown as the fastest ground unit.
Is that correct? and intentional?
The rate at which a player captures enemy provinces has NOTHING to do with the expansion penalty, it still adds up,
-9 for every province captured or revolt.
When a player has been in FARM mode for 2 weeks, taking only 2 provinces, then suddenly at day change, has 5 more, due to revolts, and thus a -35 hit on morale, nothing can be done to rectify that situation, except maybe just quit.
