Useless drivel - does NOT apply to Sone!
tried another game:
Flanders Front, day 2, many provinces with declining morale, even in countries with ZERO expansion penalty!
core province morale declines from the very first day change, distance to
capital malus as high as -27!
a province with a level 2 propaganda office and a level 3 fort is also losing morale.
Did this update not happen?
from the 19 may announcement:
"Therefore we adjusted the province morale baseline in a way that at the start of the game all provinces are in a healthy and stable state which can only be changed by actions within the game."
The problem is too many conscripts, that are allowed to move too fast down the roads.
Slowing the game down is NOT the solution to that massive flaw in the game design.
There are a couple of changes to other Bytro games you might know which should help get fuller maps, one of them is no map creation, another is that your country choosing options when joining a game are limited.
Exactly, and many other restrictions and limitations added to those games.
General practice is to reduce the enjoyment of playing any Bystro game,
thereby reducing the number of players, which reduces the load on the servers.
News paper broken.
This is a good opportunity to scrap the news,
and replace with battle reports directly to the
country leaders. These reports would not just be
"Unit DE12 was defeated by unit C 13",
but rather more detailed:
"The 12th Guards Corps suffered 800 casualties and lost
12 lt. tanks, 5 75mm artillery and 12 tractor-trucks. The enemy
forces lost 950 casualties, 15 tanks and perhaps several dozen
other vehicles. This battle occurred at grid coordinates
X1328 Y 641 in Lower Slobovia Province, between the hours
of 0630 and 1720 Zulu."
and the return of the ships ashore bug?
great improvement in the newpaper:

this is Sone, not S1914
Level 1 cruisers have 55 hitpoints.
Conscripts have ZERO offense/defense against ships. The OP said nothing about 'inf'.
What the OP describes is a major flaw in the battle mechanics,
which I have observed on several occasions.
damaging patrol boats, even tho the documentation says ZERO attack and defend against naval.
It therefore might be an idea to have another Veterans Front map (until a 4th comes out) with a significantly higher entry requirement.
a very good idea,
unfortunately, the exact opposite was inacted:
there is no Veterans Front map.
ALL maps are open to first time quitters.
Perhaps due to so very few users sticking around to qualify?
what does that tell you?
cum bak and give advice
when ur actually
Try this "feature":
Capture an enemy HQ (still mislabeled as 'Capital' in S-1)
Then open that players info, and you will see that her new 'Capital' is your 'Capital'!
quite disconcerting, what?
the image on the left side of that card is unrelated to the unit(s) involved.
the only purpose is to clutter up the display.
another forum myth:
"Expanding slowly will reduce the expansion penalty"
the expansion penalty is based soley on the number of provinces conquered.
what they really mean is:
"Stay in you home provinces, build cute buildings, bake cookies, and forget
about any pretense that S-1 is a war game."
Morale in some countries declines at the FIRST day change, with no expansion penalty.
Might be the reason so many players quit by day 3-4
