I just tried to use Flower Defense - the first time after update - and do not understand if it still works or not. I had only 12 units totally in city, and splitted them like 4 groups * 3 inf (following Buddha'a advice). So may be the amount is too small...

When you do that, do you see that this one unit is immediately showing the red flash (just speaking of the legacy UI) that indicates an active attack?
not sure about this attack indication, but most of my single-splitted units are getting killed immediately.
as I said, I've tested it. Once you do splits (splitting each time by 1 soldier), for the first - you loose a soldier each time, for the second - your fortress is getting degraded to a previous level after each couple splits.
But 2-3 weeks ago flower defense was working perfectly.
Did anyone tried to test it recently?
well, finally they've banned the flower defense. Moreover it looks like now you have some penalty - your fortress is getting destroyed, when you are splitting your army being under siege. I tested it a couple of times.
That is for when you are looking to build Mechanical units, main resource you need is oil for factories and for mechanical units, you can do without developing most food and material provinces, especially in big maps it boils down to energy in late stages of the map... so kinda off topic for a beginners guide, but if they survive the beginners also need to know what happens deeper into these maps.

Reason you build Barracks + cav units on Double resource provinces is because these Double resource provinces produce 2x the inf units that a Single resource province produces
Do you mean that double resource provinces produce infs and cavs twice faster?
Sorry if I am gonna ask a bit off-topic question, but I didn't find more appropriate topic.
Are there any hidden profits of light tanks (LT) in comparison to heavy ones (HT)? I do not understand at all why people are building LT.
HT takes 33% more time and 37% more resources to build, but gives you 50% profit in combat characteristics. So, why don't they use packs of HT instead of LT+HT mix? The only thing I can imagine, a combination of LT+HT can have some hidden combat bonus.
Did anyone test it? Or maybe there is another explanation?
Stating this question in a more general way: are there any units combination that can strengthen each other while using together? E.g. balloon could strengthen artillery and so on. Does any of such things take place in the game?
Damn, since yesterday, seems like stats doesn't work again. Guys, can you pls confirm, you have the same issue?
Looks like they've finally fixed the frozen statistics bug. But all the accumulated and missed points in stats during that time are missed forever as I see
For now the statistics for many (or may be all) players is not getting calculated at all.
Are there any estimations on how son this issue gonna be resolved?
