Upon my return to the game after a hiatus, I joined a round (1X speed) and in 16 days, I conquered approximately 40 provinces in a 500-player map. However, my jubilation was soon overshadowed by a disheartening encounter with a seemingly invincible opponent - a gaming "whale" - who wielded an overwhelming advantage due to their seemingly infinite Gold Marks or GM. This stark discrepancy left me yearning for a more balanced and equitable gaming environment.
Considering the impact of excessive game monetization (GM) on gameplay, I find myself fervently advocating for the implementation of a reasonable limit on GM usage, ranging from 10,000 to 15,000 in either a 100-player or 500-player map.
By introducing such a restriction, the game could effectively mitigate the extreme advantages some players enjoy, fostering a level playing field that encourages strategic thinking and fair competition.
I sincerely hope that the esteemed developers at Bytro seriously consider this proposition. By embracing this measure, they would not only promote a more enjoyable gaming experience for all players but also demonstrate a commitment to fostering a vibrant and inclusive gaming community. Let us look forward to a future where every gamer's skill and tactics reign supreme, and the thrill of the game lies in the pursuit of victory through wit and ingenuity rather than limitless resources.
I am NOT saying that Gold Marks or GMs are inherently bad, but this overwhelming advantage that some users have is simply not fair. As a free-to-play (F2P) player myself, Supremacy 1914 has been a source of great enjoyment for the past 1.5 years, and I must commend the responsiveness of the mods and Bytro in addressing bugs and grievances swiftly. However, it is my earnest belief that by addressing the issue of excessive GM usage, we can create an even more engaging and fulfilling gaming experience for all players, regardless of their spending preferences.
