Doesn't have to be a huge radius of effect, but c'mon. it just doesn't make sense for them to not have some sub spotting mechanic.
Hot Air Baloons should spot subs

Agreed. Balloons should be able to spot subs.
-
wait i thought they do? am i wrong?
-
balloons should use airports aswell .. they are extremly slow and they take disembarking times while leaving harbor
-
True, in the 1st World War, balloons were widely used for discovering submarines, loading resources, spying and even sometimes loading troops.

as stated in the thread before i do like this idea and believe that maybe a mechanic change should be looked into
-
maybe if the sub was only visable for a set period a day instead, since they cannot stay underwater indefinately. but i dont think a balloon should spot a sub, as a sub is underwater. and a balloon would only spot a sub if it was at the top of the water, not say 50ft down
-
i agree with Keith, but that should also apply on fighters dont u think? something is wrong with both systems.
i believe the ballons makes more sense to spot subs, they r slow, bigger chance to have a good look around and get to see the sub near the surface at some point, than a fighter going fast, not really bothered much to see through the water surface -
it really doesnt make aton of since and i think it should be flipped around but people with say so need to respond
